Determination of Resistance against Water Deficit in Two Genotypes of Corn (Zea mays L.)

The Changes of certain morphological and physiological parameters were studied in two genotypes of corn “Qartuli 9” and “Ajametis tetri” under the conditions of water deficit. Accumulation of osmoregulators was determined in vegetative organs of corn according to different irrigation regime. It was ascertained that “Qartuli 9” was characterized with more resistance against drought compared with “Ajametis tetri”.
