Enantioseparation of some chiral agrochemical compounds using high-performance liquid chromatography

The goal of the present work was tostudy the effect of water content in the mobile phase on separatation of enantiomers of some chiral triazole derivatives on polysacchide-based chiral columns. Enantioseparation of nine substances such as bitetranole, difenoconazole, metconazole, fenbuconazole, penconazole, triadimenole, triadimefone, prothioconazole, and vinclozoline wasstudied: using chiral columns such as Cellulose-1, Cellulose-3, Cellulose-4, Amylose-1 and Amylose-2. Increasing water content in methanol increased retention and improved enantioseparation while more complex scenario was observed with increased water content in acetonitrile.
